BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 15 July 2017 - A Grand Parade presented by The Royal Brunei Armed Forces indicating the opening celebration of His Majesty’s Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam 71st birthday. The key highlight of the Grand Parade was the aerial royal salute by the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.This year’s Royal celebrations mark the first RBAirF formation flypast of eight (08) Blackhawk S-70i aircrafts consisting of 16 Pilots, 70 supporting engineers, 36 aircrews and 8 ground coordinators.
This formation flypast showcases the meticulous planning professionalism and intensive teamwork of the airmen and airwomen of the RBAirF. The integration among the key elements such as Flight Safety, communications, command and control as well as the coordination from ground controllers overseeing the parade ensures the formation arrives at the centre of the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien during the national anthem.
This event could only have been a success with the airmen and airwomen exemplifying the RBAirF core values of Service Above Self, Excellence and Teamwork.
