RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Monday 01 May 2017 – Basic Base Defence Course 2017 was officially closed by the Commander Operations Group, Colonel (U) Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim at Rimba Air Force Base.Also present were Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Commander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
This is the third year of joint course between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). This course scheduled for 6 weeks from 27 March 2017 to 05 May 2017, was participated by 236 Squadron, No 2 Wing, RBAirF and Base Defence of the RBN.
The ceremony began with a demonstration of Anti-Riot followed by the presentation of certificates by the guest of honor, Colonel (U) Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim.
Four awards were given to acknowledge their hardwork and dedication towards this 6 weeks course: Sld (U) Ak Muhd Rafiuddin bin Pg Hj Supry(Best Fitness), Sld (U) Muhammad Suhardi bin Muhammad Ali Morni(Best Practical) and Sld (U) Awang Jamal bin Haji Awang Shapawai (Best Theory and Best Student).
This ceremony is also attended by other Officers and key personnel from both Unit of RBAirF and RBN.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS ASAS PERTAHANAN PANGKALAN SESI 2017
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Isnin, 05 Mei 2017 – Penutup Kursus Asas Pertahanan Pangkalan Sesi 2017 telah dirasmikan oleh Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan, Kolonel (U) Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim di Pangkalan Rimba.
Majlis ini turut hadir oleh Ketua Staff Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), Komander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
Ini adalah tahun ke tiga kedua unit bergabung dalam Kursus Asas Pertahanan Pangkalan selama 6 minggu, yang bermula daripada 27 Mac 2017 hingga 05 Mei 2017 di Skuadron 236. Majlis dimulakan dengan pertunjukan Penyuraian Rusuhan dan diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil kepada peserta kurus oleh tetamu kehormat Majlis.
Empat peserta kursus telah menerima anugerah atas kerja keras dan dedikasi mereka sepanjang kursus ini: Latihan Jasmani Terbaik, Sld (U) Ak Muhd Rafiuddin bin Pg Hj Supry; Amali Terbaik, Sld (U) Muhammad Suhardi bin Muhammad Ali Morni; Teori Terbaik dan Peserta Kursus Terbaik, Sld (U) Awang Jamal bin Haji Awang Shapawai.
Perasmian penutup kursus ini juga disaksikan oleh Pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota dari kedua unit.
