RIMBA AIR BASE, Wednesday 16 September 2020. The Force Sergeant Major, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Warrant Officer 1 Awang Rashid bin Haji Abdul Rahman made a farewell visit to the Royal Brunei Airforce today.
Upon arrival, the RBAF Sergeant Major was greeted by Warrant Officer 1 (U) Tajuddin bin Haji Mohammad, the chairman of the ceremony at Dewan Punai. Also in attendance were RBAirF Sergeant Major, Regimental Sergeant Majors and other senior non-commissioned officers (NCOs)
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Said bin Haji Yusof, the religious teacher of Royal Brunei Airforce. The ceremony continued with a speech delivered by the RBAF Sergeant Major where he mentioned that the RBAF has gone through various challenges but with the support of the NCOs, those challenges were able to be handled professionally and efficiently.
The RBAF Sergeant Major also gave some words of encouragement in his farewell speech and reminded the attendees to constantly maintain the utmost level of discipline, to be accountable and responsible in ensuring welfare and career progress of their subordinates. He capped off his speech by calling the personnel to value and be responsible towards security matters where the failure to do this can tarnish the RBAF image and threaten the sovereignty of our country.
A memento as a token of appreciation was presented by the RBAirF Sergeant Major and other personnel and to commemorate his tenure as the RBAF Sergeant Major. This was followed by a closing prayer, signing of parchment, light refreshment and a farewell session with the RBAirF personnel.
LAWATAN PERPISAHAN SARJAN MEJAR ABDB KE TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI.
PANGKALAN UDARA RIMBA, Rabu 16 September 2020. Sarjan Mejar Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) Pegawai Waran 1 Awang Rashid bin Haji Abdul Rahman telah membuat lawatan perpisahan ke Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) hari ini.
Kehadiran beliau ke Dewan Punai telah disambut oleh Pegawai Waran 1 (U) Tajuddin bin Haji Mohammad, selaku pengerusi majlis. Turut hadir di majlis tersebut ialah Sarjan Mejar Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, Sarjan Mejar-Sarjan Mejar Rejimen, PTB-PTB kanan dan PTB-PTB rendah.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Ustaz Said bin Haji Yusof, guru agama Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei.
Majlis diteruskan lagi dengan ucapan dari Sarjan Mejar ABDB dimana beliau menyentuh terdapat dimana banyak cabaran sentiasa menguji tahap disiplin dan profesionalisma anggota tetapi dapat ditangani dari sokongan PTB-PTB kanan dan anggota-anggota ABDB keseluruhannya.
Beliau juga berkesempatan untuk menyampaikan ucapan perpisahan dengan memberi nasihat dan kata-kata semangat kepada anggota-anggota TUDB untuk mengekalkan tahap disiplin yang tinggi, bertanggungjawab dalam memastikan kebajikan dan kemajuan setiap anggota, dan akhir sekali supaya menghayati dan bertanggungjawab dalam aspek-aspek sekuriti dimana kegagalan dalam hal ini boleh mencemarkan imej ABDB dan mengancam kedaulatan negara.
Sarjan Mejar ABDB juga menerima cenderahati kenangan dari Sarjan Mejar TUDB dan PTB-PTB kanan TUDB sebagai tanda penghargaan atas sumbangan dan kepimpinan beliau. Ini diikuti dengan bacaan doa penutup, penandatanganan lembaran kenangan, jamuan dan sesi ramah mesra.
