RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Wednesday, 16 September 2020 – A bilateral video conference was successfully held between the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), Lieutenant General Allen Trio Paredes and Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim, Commander of RBAirF. This was due to the Covid-19 Pandemic which has led to widespread travel restrictions.
Issues discussed during the bilateral conference include measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 amongst personnel and the Air Forces’ role in the Covid Task Force as well as expanding existing efforts to strengthen the bilateral relationship such as the establishment of the Air Working Group and exchanges of training, visits and subject matter experts.
Also present during the call were the RBAirF Commanders of the Operations and Support Groups, as well as the acting Chief of Staff of the RBAirF HQ.
SIDANG VIDEO DUA HALA DI ANTARA PEMERINTAH TENTERA UDARA FILIPINA DAN PEMERINTAH TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI
PANGKALAN UDARA RIMBA, Rabu, 16 September 2020 – Sidang video dua hala telah diungkayahkan dengan jayanya di antara Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim dan Leftenan Jeneral Allen Trio Paredes, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Filipina.
Isu-isu yang dibincangkan semasa sidang video tersebut adalah usaha menangani Covid-19 di kalangan anggota-anggota dan peranan Tentera Udara dalam Task Force Covid-19 dan perkembangan usaha pengukuhan hubungan dua hala seperti penubuhan Kumpulan Kerja Udara dan pertukaran lawatan serta latihan.
Turut hadir semasa sidang video tersebut adalah Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan dan Bantu TUDB serta Pemangku Ketua Staf, Markas TUDB.
