CLOSING CEREMONY AND THE CERTIFICATE AND BADGE PRESENTATION FOR THE AIR DEFENCE TROOP COMMANDER COURSE, DETACHMENT COMMANDER COURSE AND INTERMEDIATE COURSE 2021/2022
Berakas Garrison, Tuesday, 29 March 2022
– The closing ceremony and the badge presentation for the Air Defence
Troop Commander Course, the Detachment Commander Course and the Air
Defence Intermediate Course was held on Tuesday, 29 March 2022 at the
238 Squadron Hangar, Berakas Garrison. The event was conducted by 77
Squadron, No. 7 Wing and present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant
Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Acting Deputy Commander of Air
Force. The event was also attended by the Commanding Officer of No. 2
Wing, Officer Commanding of 77 Squadron and all the Air Defence
Instructors.
7th BASIC AIRBORNE STATIC LINE COURSE
Rimba Air Force Base, Friday, 25 March 2022
– 11 personnel consisting of 9 airmen from the RBAirF and 2 personnel
from the Special Operation Squad (SOS), Royal Brunei Police Force
(RBPF), completed the 7th Basic Airborne Static Line Course which was
held at the RBAirF Drop Zone. The Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel
(U) Haji Mohammad Rahimin bin Haji Ismail, Commanding Officer of No. 3
Wing, RBAirF. Also present during the event were officers from the
RBAirF and RBPF.
RBAirF HELD A KHATAM AL-QURAN IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 38TH NATIONAL DAY OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 38th National Day of
Brunei Darussalam was held at Surau Al-Barakah, Rimba AFB. Present
during the event was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad
Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of RBAirF. The event
was also attended by RBAirF Senior Officers, Officers and airmen.
DISTRIBUTION OF ‘KURMA KURNIA PERIBADI’ TO RBAirF

– The ‘Kurma Kurnia Peribadi’ or dates bestowed as a personal gift from
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni
Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien,
Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with
Ramadhan 1443 Hijrah were distributed to representatives from the RBAirF
units at the Rajawali Lounge, RBAirF Headquarters.
CEREMONY FOR NEWLY APPOINTED RBAirF REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR (RSM) AND DRILL SERGEANT MAJOR (DSM)

– A promotion ceremony for the newly appointed RBAirF Support Group
Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) and Drill Sergeant Major (DSM) took
place today at the Rajawali Lounge, RBAirF Headquarters.
RBAirF ACTING DEPUTY COMMANDER ATTENDS GLOBAL AIR FORCE CHIEFS CLIMATE CHANGE COLLABORATION
Rimba Air Force Base, Thursday, 24 March 2022–
Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) participated in the Global Air Force
Chiefs Climate Change Collaboration (GAFCCC), which was co-hosted
virtually by the Italian Air Force (ITAF) and the Royal Air Force (RAF),
United Kingdom. The aim of this meeting is to discuss Air Forces’
coordination, collaboration and plans to reduce carbon consumption and
generate green power to enhance resilience and operational capacity and
capability. The collaboration was attended physically and virtually from
41 Air Forces globally.
