Rimba Air Base, Thursday, 28 January 2021 - Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) received an introductory call from Colonel Angelo Gerard P. Ariles, the new Defense and Armed Forces Attache of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam this morning. Also in attendance was the Chief of Staff and Staff Officer Grade 3 Intelligence, RBAirF.
During the call, the RBAirF Commander acknowledged the positive progress between both air forces. The RBAirF Commander also accorded his appreciation for the endless support towards Brunei Darussalam as the country takes on the position of Chairing the ASEAN this year, as well as a Co-Chair of the ADMM-Plus Experts’ Working Group (EWG) on Military Medicine with Australia for the three-year cycle of 2020 – 2023.
Colonel Angelo Gerard P. Ariles was appointed as Defence and Armed Forces Attache of Republic of Philippines to Brunei Darussalam on 25 November 2020, replacing the former Defence and Armed Forces Attache, Colonel Jose Ricky A.Laniog.
PEMERINTAH TUDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN ATASE PERTAHANAN DAN ANGKATAN TENTERA REPUBLIK FILIPINA YANG BARU KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Khamis, 28 Januari 2021 – Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menerima kunjungan pengenalan daripada Kolonel Angelo Gerard P. Ariles, Atase Pertahanan Angkatan Tentera Republik Filipina yang baru ke Negara Brunei Darussalam pada pagi ini. Turut hadir adalah Ketua Staf dan Penolong Pegawai Turus Perisikan, TUDB.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Pemerintah TUDB menyatakan rasa berpuas hati di atas perkembangan yang positif di antara kedua-dua Angkatan Tentera Udara. Pemerintah TUDB juga menyampaikan penghargaan di atas sokongan Republik Filipina kepada Brunei Darussalam dalam mempengerusikan ASEAN pada tahun ini serta menjadi Pengerusi Bersama dalam
ADMM-Plus Experts’ Working Group (EWG)
on Military Medicine bersama Australia bagi tempoh tahun 2020 – 2023.
Kolonel Angelo Gerard P. Ariles telah dilantik sebagai Atase Pertahanan Republik Filipina ke Negara Brunei Darussalam bermula pada 25 November 2020 bagi menggantikan Atase sebelum ini iaitu Kolonel Jose Ricky A.Laniog.
