Rimba Air Force Base, Monday, 18 April 2022 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Command Post Exercise (CPX) Alap-Alap IX/2022 was launched this morning at the Alap-Alap Room, RBAirF Headquarters. The opening ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Acting Head of Inspectorate, RBAirF, as the Guest of Honour.
During the exercise overview, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Mohammad Zulhusmi bin Pengiran Mohammad Roslan, the Exercise Director, stated that the exercise aims to provide an opportunity for RBAirF personnel to conduct comprehensive training and validate RBAirF procedures and plans in dealing with security risks and challenges. One of the objectives for this exercise is to identify capability and procedural gaps of each Wing in fulfilling the planning and execution of operational requirements identified during the Table Top Exercise (TTX) conducted in early January this year. It is also aimed to conduct technical tests on communication equipment used in the preparation before performing the Field Training Exercise (FTX) in June later this year.
In addition, the CPX will provide a realistic training environment for tactical level HQs to demonstrate necessary skills in the planning and execution of coordinated service level operations. The CPX Alap-Alap IX/2022 will be carried out for 4 days starting from 18 April 2022 and 20 April 2022 until 22 April 2022 at Rimba AFB.

Command Post Exercise (CPX) Alap-Alap IX/2022 Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) berlangsung pada pagi tadi di Bilik Alap-Alap, Markas TUDB dimana ianya dirasmikan oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Pemangku Ketua Inspektorat, selaku Tetamu Kehormat.
Semasa menyampaikan gambaran keseluruhan eksesais, Pengarah Eksesais, Lt Kol (U) Pengiran Mohd Zulhusmi Bin Pengiran Mohd Roslan menyatakan bahawa tujuan bagi eksesais ini adalah untuk memberikan peluang latihan yang komprehensif bagi seluruh anggota Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei. Susulan dari
Table Top Exercise (TTX) yang telah dijalankan awal tahun ini,
CPX juga bertujuan bagi mengenalpasti kekurangan keupayaan dan prosedur cawangan-cawangan untuk merancang dan melaksanakan operasi dan ujian teknikal bagi peralatan komunikasi sebelum pengendalian
Field Training Exercise (FTX) bulan Jun tahun ini.
Sebagai tambahan,
CPX juga memberikan suasana latihan yang realistik bagi markas peringkat taktikal untuk menunjukkan kemahiran dalam merancang dan melaksanakan operasi di peringkat unit.
CPX Alap-Alap IX/2022 akan dijalankan selama 4 hari, mulai dari 18 April, 20 April 2022 hingga 22 April 2022 di PTU Rimba.
