RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Sunday, 5 March 2023 – The Royal Brunei Air Force Wives’ Welfare Association (RBAirF BAKTI) held a Walkathon 2023 event at the RBAirF Sports Complex, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). The event aims to strengthen the bonds between the members of the RBAirF BAKTI and families and in supporting a healthy lifestyle.
The Guest of Honour was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of the RBAirF and Datin Noraidah binti Haji Ibrahim, Head of RBAirF BAKTI. In attendance was the Acting Deputy Commander of the RBAirF and his spouse as well as members of RBAirF BAKTI with their families.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a warm-up exercise. The Walkathon was officially inaugurated with the sounding of an electronic whistle by Head of RBAirF BAKTI to mark the start of the 1.2km walkathon. The event continued with prize presentations to the winners of the best costumes for Best Kids Costume, Best Family Costume and Commander’s Favourite.
During the event, Captain (U) Mohammad Hazwan @ Abdul Haady bin Husny and his family received the Commander’s Favourite Prize. For Best Kids Costume Categories, First place was won by Nur Abqarah Hidayah @ Abby binti Lieutenant Colonel (U) Amierul Halpi with the first and second runners-up being awarded to Nur Izzah Alisha binti Major (U) Mohd Kaisan and Mohamad Aiman bin WO1 (U) Mohd Shah respectively. Major (U) Muhammad Ishyak bin Hj Ismail and family won Best Family Costume Category. The event was further enlivened with a Lucky Draw and kids activities such as face painting, bubbles and paddle boating.
BAKTI TUDB MENGADAKAN ACARA WALKATON 2023
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Ahad, 5 Mac 2023 – Persatuan Badan Kebajikan Isteri-Isteri Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei peringkat Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (BAKTI TUDB) telah mengadakan Acara Walkaton Bakti TUDB 2023 di Kompleks Sukan Tentera Udara, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba). Acara tersebut diadakan bagi mengeratkan silaturahim dikalangan ahli-ahli BAKTI TUDB beserta keluarga serta mendokong ke arah gaya hidup sihat.
Tetamu Kehormat bagi acara tersebut adalah Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah TUDB dan Datin Noraidah binti Haji Ibrahim, Ketua Cawangan BAKTI TUDB. Turut hadir ialah Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB dan isteri serta ahli-ahli BAKTI TUDB serta keluarga.
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diikuti dengan acara pemanasan badan. Walkaton BAKTI TUDB segera dirasmikan dengan pelepasan wisel elektronik oleh Ketua Cawangan BAKTI TUDB yang menandakan bermulanya walkaton sejauh 1.2 km. Sejurus acara Walkaton selesai, acara diteruskan dengan acara penyampaian hadiah bagi pemenang-pemenang kostum terbaik bagi kategori
Best Kids Costume, Best Family Costume dan
Commander’s Favourite.
