RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 20 October 2023 – The course closing and certificate presentation ceremony for the Class 5 Driving Course Session 2023/2024 was held on Friday, 20 October 2023 at the Punai Hall, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). A total of 13 personnel from No. 2 Wing, No. 5 Wing, and No. 7 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the course which was conducted over a period of 5 weeks. Present at the event as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Mohammad Zulhusmi bin Pengiran Mohammad Roslan, Commanding Officer of No. 7 Wing, RBAirF as well as other officers and invited guests.
The event began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a speech by the Guest of Honour. This was followed by the presentation of certificates to the course participants and then the award presentation to the Best Overall, Theory and Practical award recipients. The Best Overall award goes to Corporal (U) Abdul Aziz bin Nohari, whereas the Best Theory award was given to Sergeant (U) Amirul Aizat bin Abdul Latif, followed by the Best Practical award which was won by Private (U) Amirul Azim bin Kimpat. The event was followed with the presentation of souvenirs to the Inspecting Officers from external units including the Royal Brunei Navy, Training Institute, Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Special Forces Regiment, Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The Class 5 Driving Course aims to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills with regards to the fundamentals of driving heavy vehicles during operations and daily taskings. They were also exposed to the procedures when experiencing vehicle problems and safety procedures. The field exercise
Perisai Begerak Series 2 Session 2023/2024 was also conducted to ensure that the course participants were able to understand all the lessons that have been delivered throughout the course.
MAJLIS PENUTUP DAN PENYAMPAIAN SIJIL KURSUS MEMANDU KELAS 5 SESI 2023/2024
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Jumaat, 20 Oktober 2023 – Majlis Penutup dan Penyampaian Sijil bagi Kursus Memandu Kelas 5 Sesi 2023/2024 telah dikendalikan pada hari Jumaat, 20 Oktober 2023 bertempat di Dewan Punai, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba). Seramai 13 anggota dari Cawangan No. 2, Cawangan No. 5, dan juga dari Cawangan No. 7, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri kursus tersebut yang telah berlangsung selama 5 minggu. Hadir di majlis tersebut selaku Tetamu Kehormat adalah Leftenan Kolonel (U) Pengiran Mohammad Zulhusmi bin Pengiran Mohammad Roslan, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 7, TUDB, pegawai-pegawai dan juga jemputan-jemputan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diteruskan dengan ucapan daripada Tetamu Kehormat Majlis. Majlis seterusnya diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil bagi peserta-peserta kursus dan juga penyampaian hadiah bagi Penuntuk Terbaik Keseluruhan, Teori dan Amali. Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dimenangi oleh Korporal (U) Abdul Aziz bin Nohari, manakala Penuntut Terbaik Teori dimenangi oleh Sarjan (U) Amirul Aizat bin Abdul Latif dan Penuntut Terbaik Praktikal dimenangi oleh Soldadu (U) Amirul Azim bin Kimpat. Acara seterusnya diteruskan dengan penyampaian cenderahati kepada Pegawai-pegawai Penguji dari unit-unit luar termasuk Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei, Institut Latihan, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei dan juga Rejimen Pasukan Khas, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei.
Kursus Memandu Kelas 5 bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta-peserta kursus mengenai tatacara memandu kenderaan tentera semasa operasi mahupun bagi tugas harian. Selain dari itu pendedahan juga diberikan mengenai tatacara menangangi permasalahan kenderaan dan juga prosedur-prosedur keselamatan. Latihan akhir iaitu Latihan Perisai Bergerak Siri 2 Sesi 2023/2024 juga telah dikendalikan bagi memastikan kesemua anggota kursus dapat menerima kesemua pelajaran yang telah diajar dengan baik.
