RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 18 September 2026 – In conjunction with its 60th
Anniversary, the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held the official opening ceremony of
a dedicated Breastfeeding Room at the Medical Reception Service (MRS), Rimba Air
Force Base.
Officiating the event as Guest of Honour was Brigadier General (Udara) Haji Haszahaidi
bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander of the RBAirF, joined by Hajah Adinah binti Haji
Mohd Jaya, Acting Director of the Department of Development and Work Services,
Ministry of Defence. The ceremony was witnessed by Senior Officers, personnel, and
staff of the RBAirF.
The proceedings commenced with the spiritual blessings of the recitation of Surah Al-
Fatihah and Doa Selamat. Subsequently, the Guests of Honour signed a
commemorative plaque before touring the newly established facility to inspect the
amenities provided.
As a pioneering milestone, this facility stands as the first of its kind across all Royal
Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) bases and camps, representing a vital welfare initiative
meticulously designed to elevate the well-being of female personnel within the Armed
Forces. By providing a private and supportive space, the initiative not only promotes
healthy breastfeeding practices but also fosters a highly inclusive, progressive, and
family-friendly working environment. This achievement underscores the RBAirF’s
continuous commitment to the welfare, dignity, and professional equity of its female
workforce.
MAJLIS PERASMIAN BILIK PENYUSUAN PERTAMA DI PANGKALAN TENTERA
UDARA RIMBA
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Jumaat, 18 September 2026 – Sempena
Sambutan Jubli Intan (Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-60) Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB),
satu Majlis Perasmian Bilik Penyusuan khusus telah diadakan bertempat di Medical
Reception Station (MRS), Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi menyempurnakan perasmian tersebut ialah Yang
Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (Udara) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Pemerintah
TUDB. Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Hajah Adinah binti Haji Mohd Jaya, Pemangku
Pengarah Jabatan Perkhidmatan Pembangunan dan Kerja, Kementerian Pertahanan.
Majlis tersebut turut disaksikan oleh Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, anggota, serta
kakitangan TUDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat. Sejurus selepas
itu, Tetamu Kehormat menandatangani plak peringatan sebelum dibawa melawat ke
kemudahan baharu tersebut bagi meninjau prasarana yang disediakan.
Sebagai satu pencapaian perintis, kemudahan ini merupakan yang pertama
seumpamanya di seluruh pangkalan dan perkhemahan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja
Brunei (ABDB). Ia menzahirkan sebuah inisiatif kebajikan penting yang direka dengan
teliti demi mempertingkatkan kesejahteraan anggota wanita dalam Angkatan Tentera.
Melalui penyediaan ruang yang privasi dan kondusif, inisiatif ini bukan sahaja
menyokong amalan penyusuan susu ibu yang sihat, malah memupuk persekitaran kerja
yang inklusif, progresif, dan mesra keluarga. Pencapaian ini sekali gus memperkukuh
komitmen berterusan TUDB terhadap kebajikan, martabat, dan ekuiti profesional tenaga
kerja wanitanya.
