​CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA, Tuesday, 21 November 2023 – The ASEAN Maritime Security Research Fellowship Program successfully concluded today with all the participating scholars delivering the final presentation followed by a certificate and commemorative coin presentation. Representing the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was Major (U) Muhammad Izdihar bin Haji Imran, 11 Squadron Pilot, RBAirF.

Present at the final presentation and closing ceremony was Mr David Lewis, Assistant Secretary of Southeast Asia, Department of Defence, Group Captain Michael Sleeman, Director of the Air and Space Power Centre, Captain Alastair Cooper, Director of the Sea Power Centre, Defence Attachés, Australian Defence Force officers and academics.  7 military officers from ASEAN countries were selected for the program, with 4 officers attending the Air and Space Power Centre and 3 at the Sea Power Centre.

The ASEAN Maritime Security Research Fellowship Program conducted in 2 tranches annually, was designed to build the scholars’ knowledge and professional networks, promoting stronger inter-military relationships between Australia and participating ASEAN partners. The fellowship provided the scholars the opportunity to undertake a 3 months Master’s level research in Canberra. The scholars also attended the Goldrick Seminar, Sea Power Conference, Australian Institute of International Affairs Conference, and site visits to air and naval bases.


PEGAWAI TUDB MENGHADIRI ASEAN MARITIME SECURITY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM DI CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA 

CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA, Selasa, 21 November 2023 – Acara Penutup Program ASEAN Maritime Security Research Fellowship telah dikendalikan dengan pembentangan dari setiap sarjana diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil serta commemorative coin. Mewakili Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) adalah Mejar (U) Muhammad Izdihar bin Haji Imran, Juruterbang 11 Skn, TUDB.

Hadir ke acara tersebut adalah Mr David Lewis, Assistant Secretary of Southeast Asia, Department of Defence, Group Captain Michael Sleeman, Director of the
Air and Space Power Centre, Captain Alastair Cooper,
Director of the Sea Power Centre, Atase-atase Pertahanan, Pegawai-pegawai tentera Australian Defence Force serta para akademik. 7 orang pegawai tentera dari rantau Asia Tenggara menyertai program tersebut, di mana 4 daripadanya menjalankan kaji selidik di Air and Space Power Centre, manakala 3 lagi ditempatkan di
Sea Power Centre.

Program ASEAN Maritime Security Research Fellowship yang dikendalikan dalam 2 sesi setiap tahun ini bertujuan untuk memperluaskan pengetahuan dan rangkaian profesional serta mempromosikan hubungan ketenteraan yang lebih kukuh di antara Negara Australia dan Negara-negara ASEAN yang turut serta di dalam program tersebut. Ianya juga memberikan peluang kepada para sarjana untuk menjalani penyelidikan peringkat Master selama 3 bulan di Canberra. Selain itu, para sarjana juga telah menghadiri
Goldrick Seminar, Sea Power Conference, Australian Institute of International Affairs Conference, dan beberapa lawatan ke pangkalan udara serta pangkalan tentera laut.
