RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday 05 December 2023
– The Aircraft Innovation Support (AIS) from the Air Engineering Unit (AEU) of No. 5 Wing hosted the Service, Manufacture And Repair Tracking (SMART) system launching event at the Air Movement Centre. The aim of the event was to showcase the recently developed in-house system capability in digitising the current process. The SMART system aims to centralise data and information, while also serving as a digital platform that delivers accountability, traceability, transparency and efficiency.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). Also in attendance were the Director of Centre of Science and Technology Research and Development, the Acting Commander Support Group, the Acting Director of Administration and Manpower, Senior Officers, and personnel from Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and RBAirF.
The event began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech by Major (R) Haji Kamaluddin bin Haji Apong, Head of AEU. The Guest of Honour and attendees were then briefed on an overview of the SMART system by Makmuri bin Kaharuddin, Head of Section AIS. The event continued with the Guest of Honour officially launching the SMART system, refreshment and plaque signing.

Services, Manufacture And Repair Tracking (SMART) di Pusat Pergerakan Udara. Tujuan pelancaran adalah untuk menunjukkan keupayaan dalaman yang baru dibangunkan bagi mendigitalisasikan proses yang ada pada masa ini. Sistem
SMART bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan data dan maklumat, manakala juga berfungsi sebagai platform digital yang menyampaikan akauntabiliti, kebolehkesanan, kejelasan dan kecekapan.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB). Turut hadir ialah Pengarah Pusat Penyelidikan dan Perkembangan Sains dan Teknologi, Pemangku Pemerintah Kumpulan Bantu, Pemangku Pengarah Pentadbiran dan Tenaga Manusia, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan anggota daripada Kementerian Pertahanan (KEMENTAH) dan TUDB.
