RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 28 February 2023 – A total of 23 personnel consisting of 22 personnel from No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and 01 personnel from No. 7 Wing, RBAirF had completed the Basic Air Defence Course which held by the 77 Squadron, No. 7 Wing.
The Guest of Honour was Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, the Acting Deputy Commander of RBAirF. Also present was the Commanding Officer of the No. 7 Wing and the Acting Commanding Officer of the No. 2 Wing.
The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al–Fatihah, followed by a speech from the Guest of Honour. The ceremony continued with the presentation of the course certificates and Air Defence badge. The ceremony concluded with the recital of Closing Doa led by Ustaz Pengiran Fakhrul Syakirin bin Pengiran Haji Zainuddin, the Religious Teacher of the RBAirF, and a photo session.
The course aims to provide the course participants with Air Defence operations and train them as gunners in the detachment. The participants were taught theoretical and practical lessons on Air Defence Knowledge, Aircraft Recognition, Mistral Siting, and the Mistral system during the course. The course participants were then assessed with field deployment at the end of the course to ensure their understanding of the delivered lessons.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS ASAS PERTAHANAN UDARA SIRI 2 2022/2023
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 28 Februari 2023, – Seramai 23 anggota yang terdiri daripada 22 anggota dari Cawangan No. 2, Kumpulan Gerakan, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan 01 anggota dari Cawangan No. 7, TUDB telah menamatkan Kursus Asas Pertahanan Udara Siri 2 bagi tahun 2022/2023 yang telah dikendalikan oleh Skuadron 77, Cawangan No. 7. Majlis penutup kursus diadakan di Dewan Punai, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba).
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Kolonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abdin, Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 7 dan Pemangku Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 2.
Majlis penutup dimulakan dengan bacaan surah Al-Fatihah dan diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Tetamu Kehormat. Majlis diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil dan Lencana Pertahanan Udara kepada peserta kursus. Majlis diteruskan dengan bacaan doa penutup oleh Ustaz Pengiran Fakhrul Syakirin bin Pengiran Haji Zainuddin, Guru Ugama TUDB. Majlis diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar ramai.
Kursus ini berperanan bagi memberi pendedahan mengenai operasi Pertahanan Udara sebagai seorang
gunner dalam detasmen Pertahanan Udara. Semasa kursus tersebut, peserta kursus didedahkan dengan pelajaran teori serta praktikal mengenai pengetahuan pertahanan udara, mengenal pasti pesawat,
Mistral Siting serta system pertahanan Mistral. Peserta kursus turut diuji bagi memastikan kefahaman mengenai teori dan praktikal pertahanan udara.
