RIMBA AIR BASE, 22 Mac 2017 – The Comand and Staff College 7th course (CSC) went for a study visit to the Royal Brunei Air Force at Rimba Air Base today. The course consist of 17 local students from RBAF tri-services, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and Brunei Internal Security Department and 13 foreign students namely from the United States of America, Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Republic of the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were welcomed by Lt Col (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Air Force. The visit was then followed with a brief presentation on the overview of RBAirF Organisational Structure and Roles delivered by Maj (U) Pg Muhd Farisan bin Pg Hj Metassan, Staff Officer Grade 2 A7 Training. The visit continued with a question and answer session between the CSC students and RBAirF panels; which included the Chief of Staff, Maj (U) Peter bin Ulat, Commanding Officer No 2 Wing and Maj (U) Mohd Hairy Erwandy bin Hj Raya, Commanding Officer No 7 Wing.
Subsequently, the course proceeded to visit the RBAirF static display of some of the RBAirF capability at the Air Movement Center. The visit has somehow given a valuable opportunity for the CSC students to gain first-hand knowledge with regards to the roles of RBAirF particularly in the areas of defence cooperation in maintaining Peace and Security as well as Human Aid Disaster Relief Operation within the region and globally in line with defence diplomacy policy.
