RIMBA, Thurs, Aug 13 2015 - Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latip, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force made his farewell visit to Supply Wing, RBAirF this afternoon.Upon his arrival, the Commander of RBAirF was received by the Wing Commander, Major (U) Harmadi bin Haji Mamit along with other Officers and Senior Ranks of Supply Wing. The Commander of RBAirF then signed a parchment commemorating his visit.
His visit started with a brief presented by the Wing Commander. The briefing included the evolution of Supply Wing from just a Squadron in 2014.Achievements, issues and challenges that the Wing faced were also presented. The Wing Commander also took the opportunity to thank the Commander on his support and encouragement in the establishment of the Supply Wing. The Commander of RBAirF highlighted that this Wing plays an important role in the everyday business of the Air Force. He stated that without the Supply Wing, other Wings would not be able to function. He further said that with the right leadership and manpower, this Wing will strive to be great and he felt that he has confidence and has put the right man as the head of this Wing in order for it to achieve its Mission and Vision efficiently.
A brief visit to all the stores followed where he had a first hand look, and also interacted with all the men and women of Supply Wing. This included a visit to the New Supply Warehouse, which will soon be operable. The visit ended with a Group Photo and also a short session with the men and women of Supply Wing. The Commander of RBAirF reiterated on how he very much appreciates all the hard work and effort these men and women put forward, how their line of work is very crucial in running of the Air Force, and asked them to always give their one hundred percent in support of their Wing Commander, Officers, the Organisation, and of course to King and Country.
The RBAirFCommander’s visit was also attended by the RBAirF Deputy Commander, the Support Group Commander, the RBAirF Chief Of Staff, and Staff Officers from RBAirF HQ.
