SAFTI LIVE FIRING AREA, Singapore, Thursday, 04
September 2025 – The 29th iteration of Exercise AIRGUARD between the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) officially concluded following a closing ceremony held at SAFTI Live Firing Area. The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Lau Boon Ping, Chief of Staff, Air Staff, RSAF, and Colonel (U) Hismawadi bin Haji Mohammad Said, Deputy Commander of the RBAirF. Also in attendance were Lieutenant Colonel Lau Kai Heng Anthony, Commander of the Divisional Air Defence Group (DAG), RSAF and Lieutenant Colonel (U) Hairy Erwandy bin Haji Raya, Commander of the Operations Group, RBAirF.

Upon the arrival of the Guests of Honour, they were welcomed with a Field Training Exercise (FTX) briefing, which included an overview of the exercise scenario and a command post briefing. Following the briefing, the Guests of Honour conducted a tour of the exercise areas, engaging with personnel at the Platoon Command Post site, as well as the Mistral and RBS-70 missile system sites.

To formally conclude the 29th edition of Exercise AIRGUARD, the closing ceremony featured a speech by Brigadier General Lau Boon Ping, Chief of Staff, Air Staff, RSAF. The ceremony culminated with the symbolic handover of the AIRGUARD flag between Lieutenant Colonel Chia Mu Jun Robin, Commanding Officer of 18 Divisional Artillery Battalion, RSAF, and Major (U) Muhammad Adif bin Haji Zaman, Commanding Officer of No. 2 Wing, RBAirF. This gesture marked the official transfer of host responsibilities for the upcoming 30th Exercise AIRGUARD, which will be held in Brunei Darussalam.

Exercise AIRGUARD continues to serve as a vital platform for strengthening force integration and enhancing operational cooperation between the two Air Forces. With the successful conclusion of this year’s edition, the exercise reaffirms its role in bolstering combined readiness and deepening defence interoperability between the RBAirF and RSAF.


EKSESAIS AIRGUARD 29/2025 BERAKHIR SECARA RASMI

Kawasan Padang Tembak SAFTI, Singapura, Khamis, 04 September 2025 – Eksesais AIRGUARD ke-29 antara Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan Tentera Udara Republik Singapura (TURS) telah ditamatkan secara rasmi dengan majlis penutup yang diadakan di Kawasan Padang Tembak SAFTI, Singapura.

Majlis disempurnakan oleh Brigadier Jeneral Lau Boon Ping, Ketua Staf, Staf Udara, TURS dan Kolonel (U) Hismawadi bin Haji Mohammad Said, Timbalan Pemerintah, TUDB. Turut hadir ialah Leftenan Kolonel Lau Kai Heng Anthony,
Divisional Air Defence Group (DAG), TURS dan Leftenan Kolonel (U) Hairy Erwandy bin Haji Raya, Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan, TUDB.

Setibanya Tetamu Kehormat, mereka telah diberikan taklimat Latihan Medan (FTX) yang merangkumi gambaran keseluruhan senario latihan serta taklimat pos perintah. Selepas taklimat, Tetamu Kehormat telah membuat lawatan ke kawasan latihan, termasuk berinteraksi dengan anggota Pos Perintah serta meninjau lokasi sistem tapak Mistral dan RBS-70.

Bagi menandakan penutupan rasmi Eksesais AIRGUARD ke-29, majlis tersebut turut menampilkan ucapan oleh Brigedier Jeneral Lau Boon Ping, Ketua Staf, Staf Udara, TURS. Majlis diakhiri dengan penyerahan simbolik bendera AIRGUARD dari Leftenan Kolonel Chia Mu Jun Robin, Pemerintah Batalion 18
Divisional Artillery Batallion, TURS, kepada Mejar (U) Muhammad Adif bin Haji Zaman, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 2, TUDB. Penyerahan ini melambangkan pemindahan rasmi tanggungjawab tuan rumah bagi Eksesais AIRGUARD ke-30 yang akan datang, yang dijadualkan berlangsung di Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Eksesais AIRGUARD terus menjadi platform penting dalam memperkukuhkan integrasi pasukan dan meningkatkan kerjasama operasi antara kedua-dua Tentera Udara. Dengan kejayaan penutupan eksesais tahun ini, AIRGUARD sekali lagi menegaskan peranannya dalam mempertingkatkan kesiapsiagaan bersama dan memperdalam penguasaan pertahanan antara TUDB dan TURS.
