Rimba Air Base, Friday,
29 January 2021 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the Department of
Civil Aviation (DCA) held a Table Top Exercise (TTX) for Military Flying
Sectors at Air Movement Centre, Rimba Air Base earlier today. The TTX is
the first series of the event working towards introducing Military Flying
Sectors to all stakeholders in ensuring efficient and safe use of airspace.
The stakeholders
for this exercise were officers from A3 Cell of RBAirF’s Headquarters, flying
squadrons of 1 Wing, Airspace Control/ Early Warning Squadron of 3 Wing, 7 Wing
and Senior Air Traffic Controllers from DCA.
The objective of
the TTX is to introduce a cohesive flying operation dedicated for low level
flying operations, to familiarise and address all possible scenarios with
regards to the Military Flying Sectors and as well to identify gaps to improve
the Military Flying Sectors.
Another TTX is planned for early March and will
include British Army Air Corps 7th Flight and Republic Singapore Air
Force Heli detachment as stakeholders.
LATIHAN ‘TABLE TOP’ YANG PERTAMA BAGI MILITARY FLYING SECTORS
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Jumaat, 29 Januari, 2021 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan Jabatan Penerbangan Awam (JPA) telah mengadakan latihan Table-Top Exercise (TTX) bagi Military Flying Sectors Pusat Pergerakan Udara, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba. Latihan ini pertama kali diadakan untuk memperkenalkan sistem Military Flying Sectors kepada pengguna ruang udara bagi memastikan ruang udara menjadi lebih efisien dan selamat.
Penyertaan bagi latihan tersebut ialah Pegawai-Pegawai dari Sel A3 Markas TUDB, Skuadron dari Cawangan No. 1, Airspace Control/ Early Warning Squadron dari Cawangan No. 3, Cawangan No. 7 dan Pegawai Air Traffic Controller dari JPA.
Tujuan latihan TTX ini diadakan adalah bagi mengenalkan sistem penerbangan bagi operasi pesawat terbang rendah, bagi memahami dan menguji dengan pelbagai scenario yang berkaitan dengan Military Flying Sectors serta bagi mencari jurang untuk memperbaiki Military Flying Sectors tersebut.
TTX seterusnya akan diadakan pada bulan Mac dengan melibatkan British Army Air Corps 7th Flt dan Republic Singapore Air Force Heli Detachment sebagai pengguna pesawat terbang rendah.
