RIMBA AIR BASE, Fri, 30 October 2015 – The Royal Brunei Air force celebrated 24 newly graduated technicians of Airframe & Engine and Avionic Intake 02 under from the No 75th Squadron, No 7 Wing Air Academy. Royal Brunei Air Force. The course was collaborated between Maktab Teknik Sultan Saiful Rijal and No. 75 Squadron for 2 years and 3 months.Upon his arrival, the Guest of Honour, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Colonel (U) Shahril Anwar Bin Haji Ma’awiah was welcomed by the Acting Officer Commanding of No. 75 Squadron as the events’ chairman. The event started out by reciting of Surah Al-Fatihah and then followed by a speech by the Guest of Honour.
In his speech, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force highlighted the importance of technicians in upholding their professional responsibility, especially in ensuring the aircraft operational readiness as well as maintaining flight safety standard; ultimately, in achieving the RBAF mission. It was in the speech, that the Guest of Honour stated that in the world of aviation and technology exploitation, all the knowledge learnt from the technical school must be put into practice, improved and updated from time to time. The Guest of Honour finally reminded that the graduation day is just the beginning of a challenging and dynamic career in which all TUDB newly graduated technicians are expected to always improve themselves either in their professionalism, knowledge, piety and also fitness.
Colonel (U) Shahril Anwar Bin Haji Ma’awiah gave special thanks to all the parents and families who play a great role in supporting the graduated technicians in achieving success as well as to the staff and instructors of No 75th Sqn and MTSSR Aircraft Department.
The Best Overall Student Awards goes to 50373 Sld (U) Muhd. Zahiruddin Bin Abidin in the field of Airframe and Engine and 50362 Sld (U) Muhd. Nazirul Hanif Bin Hj. Mat Yamin in the field of Avionic respectively. The event ended with a thanksgiving prayer and a photo session with the Guest of Honour.
Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Commandant of Air Academy (No. 7 Wing), Commanding Officer of Maintenance Wing (No. 5 Wing), Officers, parents, family members and relatives of the newly graduated technicians. The graduation parade was held at Punai Hall, Royal Brunei Air Force, Rimba Air Base.
BDTVEC Diploma in Aircraft Engineering is a collaboration between Royal Brunei Air Force and MTSSR.
