Rimba, Thursday 24 November 2016 – The Royal Brunei Air Force celebrated 28 newly graduated technicians of Airframe & Engine and Avionic intake 03 from the No 75 Squadron, No 7 Wing Training Group, Royal Brunei Air Force. The graduates consist of 10 personnel from Royal Brunei Air Force and 18 civilian.The Guest of Honor of the event was Dato Seri Pahlawan Brigadier General (U) Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force. The event started with recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Religious Officer of Royal Brunei Air Force. The event then followed by a speech from the Guest of Honour and continued on with certificate and prize presentation.
In his speech, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force highlighted the importance of technicians in upholding their professional responsibility, especially in ensuring the aircraft operational readiness as well as maintaining fight safety standard; ultimately, in achieving the RBAF mission. The Guest of Honour reminded that the graduation day is just the beginning of a challenging career.
Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Acting Commanding Officer of Training Group, Commanding Officer of Maintenance Wing, Commanding Officer of Admin Wing, Officers, parents, family members and relatives of the newly graduated technicians. The graduation was held at Dewan Punai, Royal Brunei Air Force, Rimba Base.
BDTVEC Diploma in Aircraft Engineering is collaboration between Royal Brunei Air Force and Institute of Brunei Technical Education has provided Royal Brunei Air Force with aircraft technicians since 1984.
