RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Thursday 09 March 2023 - Test and Measurement Cell (TMC), Avionic Workshop, held the Torque Wrench Calibrator (TWC) launch at Avionics Workshop, Rimba Air Force Base.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). In attendance was the Commander of the Support Group, the Commanding Officer No. 5 Wing, and the Head of the Air Engineering Unit (AEU).
The event began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the Head of AEU. After launching the TWC, the Commander of RBAirF was briefed on the TWC. The event continued with a demonstration of the TWC and a briefing on future in-house capabilities. The event concluded with a brief on the Repair Items Maintenance System (RIMS).
The launch aimed to showcase the recently developed in-house capability to accommodate Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) requirements for aircraft servicing and operations. This capability enables TMC to provide serviceable and calibrated torque wrenches.
PELANCARAN TORQUE WRENCH CALIBRATOR DI TEST AND MEASUREMENT CELL, AVIONIC WORKSHOP
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Khamis 09 Mac 2023 – Test and Measurement Cell (TMC), Avionics Workshop telah melancarkan Torque Wrench Calibrator (TWC) di Avionics Workshop, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB). Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah Kumpulan Bantu, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No. 5 dan Ketua Unit Kejuruteraan Udara (UKU).
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Ketua UKU. Selepas pelancaran TWC, penerangan lebih lanjut mengenai TWC telah disampaikan kepada Pemerintah TUDB. Acara diteruskan dengan demonstrasi TWC, penerangan mengenai keupayaan dalaman masa hadapan dan diakhiri dengan taklimat mengenai Repair Items Maintenance System (RIMS).
Pelancaran ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan keupayaan dalaman yang dibuat baru-baru ini yang bolehmenampung keperluan Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) bagi pemeliharaan pesawat dan operasi. Keupayaan ini membolehkan TMC untuk menyediakan torque wrench yang telah diuji dan layak untuk digunakan.
