MAINTENANCE TEST PILOT TRAINING COURSE
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 02 February 2024 – Maintenance Test Pilot Training Course was conducted from 22 January 2024 to 02 February 2024 at the Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB), utilising the Blackhawk S70i. Two Pilots from 11 Squadron, No. 1 Wing, Captain (U) Mohammad Aizat bin Jaimie and Captain (U) Mohammad Azhar bin Haji Mohammad Mahathir were trained during the course. The course was instructed by Kevin Benjamin, instructor and maintenance test pilot from Sikorsky.
JUNGLE SURVIVAL TRAINING AND RESCUE SIMULATION FOR STUDENT PILOTS AND ABINITIO CREWMAN SESSION 01/2024
TEMBURONG, Friday, 02 February 2024 – A total of 02 Student Pilots and 07 Abinitio Crewman from 73 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) have accomplished their Jungle Survival Training (JST) and Rescue Simulation in Temburong District from 29 January to 02 February 2024.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TALK FOR RBAirF PERSONNEL
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 02 February 2024 – No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) recently collaborated with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) and American International Assurance (AIA) Goodlife Brunei to host a two-day financial management talk for RBAirF personnel. The event took place from Thursday, 1st February 2024 to Friday, 2nd February 2024, at Punai Hall, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Amierul Halpi bin Talip, Commanding Officer No. 2 Wing. The audience included No. 2 Wing personnel and course participants from 77 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, as well as RBAirF pay office personnel.
RBAirF RECEIVED AN OFFICIAL VISIT FROM CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCE, SINGAPORE ARMED FORCES
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 02 February 2024 – The Royal Brunei Air Forces (RBAirF) received an official visit from His Excellency Vice Admiral Aaron Beng Yao Cheng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) at the Air Movement Centre, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB).
OFFICIAL HANDOVER OF TWO C295MW AIRCRAFT TO ROYAL BRUNEI AIR FORCE
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 2 February 2024 – Today marked the Transfer of Title signing ceremony between Airbus Defence and Space S.A.U. (Airbus DS) and the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) at the No. 1 Wing Meeting Room, Hangar B, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). This ceremony commemorates the completion of the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) for the two C295MW aircraft which had recently been delivered to the Sultanate after being flown from Seville, Spain in January 2024.
PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR 07 JUNIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF NO. 5 WING, RBAirF
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Thursday, 01 February 2024 – No. 5 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) today held a promotion ceremony for 07 Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) consisting of 03 Substantive Corporals, 01 Acting Corporal and 03 Acting Lance Corporals from Headquarters and Squadrons of No. 5 Wing, RBAirF.
