BASIC HELICOPTER COURSE 50 STUDENT PILOTS’ FIRST SOLO FLIGHT
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 19 August 2022 – 04 Student Pilots undergoing the Basic Helicopter Course 50 (BHC 50) at 73 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), have successfully completed their first Solo Flight aboard the Bell 206B JetRanger III between 11 to 19 August 2022. As part of the Flying Training Squadron tradition, Student pilots who have undergone their first solo flight will receive a congratulatory hose down by their Officer in Command as well their Qualified Flying Instructors (QHI) on the coveted ‘Solo Chair’.
RBAirF OFFICER HEADS TO INDONESIA, TO ATTEND INTERMEDIATE INDONESIAN INTENSIVE LANGUAGE COURSE AND INDONESIAN AIR FORCE COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 19 August 2022 - Defence Diplomacy between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Indonesian National Armed Forces continues with the participation of a Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) officer to Indonesian Air Force Command and Staff Course Session 2022/2023. The course consists of 04 Months Intermediate Indonesian Intensive Language Course at Ministry of Defence Language Education and Training Centre that will commence on 25 August 2022, Southern Jakarta and followed by another 11 months of Command and Staff Course at the Indonesian Air Force Command and Staff College, Bandung.
RBAirF OFFICER GRADUATES FROM AIR WARFARE OFFICER COURSE IN REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
SINGAPORE, Thursday, 18 August 2022 – Air Warfare Officer (AWO) course is a six months course which began in February until August 2022. Conducted by Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), it took place in Air Force Training Command (AFTC) and Chong Pang Camp (CPC) with a total of 44 trainees. Representing Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was Captain (U) Mohammad Izzat Akmal bin Hj Yaakub of 238 Squadron, No. 2 Wing, RBAirF.
RBAirF LOCKED AND LOADED TO SILVER MEDAL AT LFSAAM 2022
PENANJONG GARISSON, Wednesday, 17 August 2022, The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was invited for Rifle Falling Plates Match 5 at Land Force Skills at Arms Meet (LFSAAM) 2022 conducted by The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). A total of seven rifle teams comprising personnel from RBLF, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), RBAirF, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ RBAF), Training Institute (TI RBAF), Special Force Regiment (SFR RBAF) and ASEAN Arms Rifle Meet (AARM) Rifle Team participated in the meet conducted for 06 days commencing from 12 to 17 August 2022.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR THE ALL ARMS AIR DEFENCE COURSE 2022 AND THE CLASS 3 DRIVING ‘IVECO CONVERSION’ COURSE SERIAL 1/2022
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 16 August 2022 – The closing ceremony for the All Arms Air Defence Course 2022 and the Class 3 Driving ‘IVECO Conversion’ Course Serial 1/2022 was held today at the Punai Hall, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). A total of 06 personnel attended the All Arms Air Defence Session 2022 Course which was held for 04 weeks and 20 personnel attended the Class 3 Driving ‘IVECO Conversion’ Serial 1/2022 Course which was conducted for 2 weeks. Course participants for both courses consists of personnel from No.2 Wing and No.3 Wing of Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF). Present as the Guest of Honour was Major (U) Mohammad Alli Farid bin Ibrahim, Officer Commanding, 77 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, RBAirF.
RBAirF PARTICIPATES IN MALAM MUNAJAT ORGANISED BY THE MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS
