29TH EXERCISE AIRGUARD OPENING CEREMONY
CHONG PANG CAMP, Singapore, Wednesday, 27 August 2025 – The 29th Exercise AIRGUARD between No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the 18th Divisional Air Defence Artillery Battalion, Republic of Singapore Air Force (18 DA Bn RSAF), was officially launched at Chong Pang Camp, Singapore. The two-week exercise, held from 25 August to 8 September 2025, marks the 29th installment in the Exercise AIRGUARD series.
COMMANDER RBAirF RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM PHILIPPINES AIR FORCE
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, TUESDAY, 26 August 2025 – Brigadier General (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) received a Courtesy Call from Colonel Randy G. Bance, Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Plans, A-5, Philippines Air Forces (PAF), along with delegates from PAF.
SENDING-OFF CEREMONY FOR EXCERSICE AIRGUARD 29/25 PARTICIPANTS TO THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Monday, 25 August 2025 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held a sending-off ceremony at the Air Movement Centre (AMC) for personnel from No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, who will be participating in Exercise AIRGUARD (Ex AIRGUARD), an annual bilateral exercise with the Republic of Singapore. This year’s exercise will take place from 25 August to 08 September 2025 and marks the 29th iteration since its inauguration in 1994. Ex AIRGUARD, conducted between No. 2 Wing, Operations Group, RBAirF and the 18 Defence Artillery Battalion, Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), aims to strengthen cooperation through a Combined Air Defence Deployment.
OPENING CEREMONY OF THE DIKIR MAULUD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MAULIDUR RASUL CELEBRATION 1447H/2025M
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Sunday, 24 August 2025 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held the opening ceremony of Dikir Maulud in conjunction with Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday celebration at Surau Al-Barakah, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). The Dikir Maulud will be held continuously for 12 nights at all Royal Brunei Armed Forces Suraus to further enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration.
PASSING OUT PARADE CEREMONY FOR THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES MALE RECRUITS OF THE 177TH INTAKE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 22 Ogos 2025 – A total of twenty-two (22) Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) male recruits from the 177th intake successfully completed their three-month basic military training, marked by a Passing Out Parade Ceremony held at the parade square of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), Penanjong Garrison.
RBAirF PARTICIPATES IN ASEAN HADR TABLE TOP EXERCISE IN THAILAND
THAILAND, Friday, 22 August 2025 – Two officers from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Major (U) Emad Hamdi bin Haji Sawal, Squadron Commander, 11 Squadron, No. 1 Wing, and Captain (U) Abdul Aziz bin Haji Zainalabidin, 2IC Squadron Commander, 43 Squadron, No. 4 Wing, participated in the ASEAN Air Forces Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Table Top Exercise (ASEAN AAF HADR TTX). This significant event, hosted by the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), was held from 18 to 22 August 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
