RBAirF ADAPTS CYCLING EXPEDITION IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBAF 63rd ANNIVERSARY AMIDST WEATHER CHALLENGES
RIMBA AIRBASE, Sunday, 22 December 2024 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) had the honour of organising a Cycling Expedition in conjunction with the 63rd Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). The expedition was originally planned for a distance of 31.5 kilometers to commemorate the significant date of 31st May. However, due to the unfavourable weather conditions, the route was adapted to a 5 kilometers within the Rimba Air Force Base. Despite these changes, the event successfully achieved its objectives of fostering strong bonds among personnel and promoting a culture of physical fitness and mental wellness.
RBAirF PILOTS ATTENDED THE INITIAL SIMULATOR TRAINING FOR C295MW AIRCRAFT IN AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE, SEVILLE, SPAIN
SEVILLE, FRIDAY, 20 DECEMBER 2024 – Four Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) pilots have completed their Initial Simulator Training for the C295MW aircraft, held at the International Training Centre, Airbus Defence and Space, Seville, Spain from 10 December 2024 to 20 December 2024.
PASSING OUT PARADE CEREMONY FOR THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES MALE RECRUITS OF THE 175TH INTAKE AND FEMALE RECRUITS OF THE 59TH INTAKE
Penanjong Garrison, Friday, 20 December 2024 – A total of ten (10) Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) male recruits of the 175th intake and four (04) female recruits of the 59th intake have concluded their basic military training with a Passing Out Parade Ceremony held at the parade square of Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces at Penanjong Garrison.
PARADE AND TAKEOVER CEREMONY FOR THE FIRST COMMANDANT OF TRAINING GROUP, RBAirF
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Monday, 16 December 2024 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Training Group held a Welcoming Parade to honour the appointment of the first Commandant of RBAirF Training Group, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Mohamed Khairul Arifin bin Pengiran Haji Mohamad Salleh as. This significant event marks a key milestone since the Training Group’s establishment on 24 June 2024. The ceremony was held at the Bachelors Barrack Parade Square, Rimba Air Force Base.
BRIGADIER GENERAL BRIAN S. LAIDLAW VISITS RBAirF
Rimba Air Force Base, Monday, 16 December 2024 – Brigadier General Brian S. Laidlaw, the Director of Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), visited the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) at Rimba Air Force Base as part of his visit to Brunei Darussalam.
HANDOVER TAKEOVER CEREMONY FOR WING COMMANDER, NO. 5 WING, RBAIRF
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 13 December 2024 – No. 5 Wing, Support Group, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), held a Wing Commander Handover Takeover Ceremony to mark the transfer of command between Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pengiran Haji Mohamed Khairul Arifin bin Pengiran Haji Mohamad Salleh and Major (U) Arif Syazwi bin Haji Md Idris at Hangar B, Rimba Air Force Base.
