PHILIPPINES, Monday, 28 October 2024
– The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) C295MW aircraft and crew successfully landed at Villamor Air Base in the Philippines to support in the disaster relief operations following severe flooding and landslides caused by Tropical Typhoon Kristine (TRAMI).
The RBAirF crew and aircraft was warmly welcomed by Her Excellency Megawati binti Dato Paduka Haji Manan, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Philippines, Commander General of the Philippine Air Force, Lieutenant General Stephen P. Parreño including Brunei’s Defence Attache to the Philippine, Lieutenant Colonel Suzanna binti Haji Antin. The RBAirF delegation immediately commenced with the preparation and planning of transporting critical provisions, including food, medical supplies, and equipment, to support local relief and recovery efforts.
This mission reaffirms Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and underscores the close partnership with the Philippines. The RBAirF is honoured to stand with the people of the Philippines in their time of need, contributing to recovery efforts and the shared pursuit of resilience and mutual support.
PESAWAT C295MW TUDB TIBA DI PANGKALAN UDARA VILLAMOR BAGI OPERASI BANTUAN BENCANA
FILIPINA, Isnin, 28 Oktober 2024 – Pesawat C295MW Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah mendarat di Pangkalan Udara Villamor di Filipina, membawa bekalan asasi bagi menyokong operasi bantuan bencana susulan banjir dan tanah runtuh yang disebabkan oleh Taufan Tropika Kristine (TRAMI). Ketibaan kru dan pesawat TUDB telah disambut oleh pegawai-pegawai Filipina.
Sejurus tiba, rombongan anggota TUDB segera memulakan pemunggahan bekalan asasi, termasuk makanan, bekalan perubatan, dan peralatan untuk menyokong usaha bantuan dan pemulihan tempatan.
Misi ini menegaskan komitmen Negara Brunei Darussalam terhadap bantuan kemanusiaan dan mengukuhkan hubungan kerjasama yang erat dengan Filipina. TUDB berbesar hati untuk berdiri bersama rakyat Filipina dalam masa memerlukan, menyumbang kepada usaha pemulihan dan cita-cita bersama untuk ketahanan dan sokongan bersama.
