JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKHAM, HAWAII, Thursday, 05 December 2019 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, the RBAirF Commander, attended the Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium (PACS) 2019 hosted by United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) which was conducted from 3 to 6 December 2019. This iteration of PACS witnessed the largest participation from Indo-Asia-Pacific Nations where 19 Air Chiefs and Vice Air Chiefs gathered to attend the symposium.
The symposium discussed various topics and conducted panel discussions with the theme “A Collaborative Approach to Regional Security”. The panel discussion topics included Regional Security, Domain Awareness, Multi-Domain Operations and Interoperability. The Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force was invited as a panellist to discuss Domain Awareness from the RBAirF’s perspective.
The symposium is a great opportunity for air chiefs to foster new relationships and improve existing relationships. It is also a great opportunity for air forces to further progress, learn and share experiences with each other at the highest level. The air chiefs also had opportunities to conduct bilateral and multilateral meetings throughout the symposium.
PEMERINTAH TUDB MENGHADIRI PACS 2019
JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKHAM, HAWAII, Khamis, 05 Disember 2019 – Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat telah menghadiri Pacific Air Chiefs Symposium (PACS) 2019 yang dianjurkan oleh Tentera Udara Pasifik Amerika Syarikat dari 3 hingga 6 Disember 2019. PACS kali ini menyaksikan penyertaan yang terbanyak setakat ini dimana seramai 19 Pemerintah dan Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Udara dari rantau Indo-Asia-Pasifik telah mengambil bahagian.
Symposium tersebut yang bertemakan “A Collaborative Approach to Regional Security” membincangkan pelbagai topik dan mengendalikan perbincangan panel termasuk Regional Security, Domain Awareness, Multi-Domain Awareness dan Interoperability. Pemerintah TUDB telah dijemput untuk menjadi ahli panel untuk membincangkan Domain Awareness dari perspektif TUDB.
Simposium ini memberikan peluang yang baik untuk Pemerintah-Pemerintah Tentera Udara memupuk hubungan baru dan mengeratkan hubungan yang sedia ada. Ianya juga merupakan peluang yang baik untuk Tentera-Tentera Udara berkongsi dan belajar dari pengalaman masing-masing di tahap tertinggi. Pemerintah-pemerintah Tentera Udara juga diberikan peluang untuk mengadakan perjumpaan dua hala dan pelbagai hala sepanjang simposium dijalankan.
