RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 16 May 2025 – One Blackhawk S70i from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) took off to participate in the 17th edition of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 25′ that will be held from 20 May 2025 until 24 May 2025 in Langkawi, Malaysia. A total of 11 personnel, including six aircrew from 11 Squadron, No. 1 Wing and 5 engineers from 51 Squadron, No. 5 Wing, will be involved in the deployment led by Captain (U) Mohammed Azhar bin Hj Mohd Mahathir.
The deployment departed from the Air Movement Centre (AMC), Rimba Air Force Base on Friday, 16 May 2025 at 0800H local time. The cross-country flight will be passing through various airspace including the Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Singapore and Malaysia. The deployment is expected to arrive at Langkawi, Malaysia on Sunday, 18 May 2025.
Present to send off the deployment was Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Hj Mohd Daud, RBAirF Commander along with the RBAirF Board of Executives and Senior Officers. The ceremony was further blessed with the recitation of Doa Selamat led by Ustaz Pg Fakhrul Syakirin bin Pg Hj Zainuddin, the religious teacher of RBAirF before the crew walked out for a group photo and embarked on their journey. Family members and colleagues were also given the opportunity to bid their well wishes and safe travels to the personnel involved in the deployment.

PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Jumaat, 16 Mei 2025 – Sebuah pesawat
Blackhawk S70i dari Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) akan menyertai Pameran Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) 25′ selama 04 hari bermula 20 Mei 2025 hingga 24 Mei 2025 bertempat di Pulau Langkawi. Seramai 11 anggota TUDB, terdiri daripada 3 juruterbang dan 3 anak buah pesawat daripada 11 Skuadron, Cawangan No. 1, serta 5 jurutera daripada 51 Skuadron, Cawangan No. 5, akan menyertai penugasan Pameran LIMA 25′ pada tahun ini. Kontinjen ini akan diketuai oleh Kapten (U) Mohammed Azhar bin Haji Mohd Mahathir.
Rombongan berlepas dari Pusat Pergerakan Udara (PPU), Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba pada hari Jumaat, 16 Mei 2025 jam 0800H waktu tempatan. Penerbangan jarak jauh ini akan melalui beberapa ruang udara termasuk Republik Indonesia, Republik Singapura dan Malaysia. Rombongan dijangka tiba di Langkawi, Malaysia pada hari Ahad, 18 Mei 2025.
Hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Hj Mohd Daud, Pemerintah TUDB serta Badan Eksekutif TUDB dan pegawai-pegawai Kanan. Majlis turut diberkati dengan bacaan Doa Selamat oleh Ustaz Pg Fakhrul Syakirin bin Pg Hj Zainuddin, Guru Ugama TUDB sebelum kru pesawat membuat perjalanan keluar ke pesawat untuk bergambar ramai dan memulakan perjalanan mereka. Keluarga serta rakan sekerja juga turut hadir bagi sama-sama memberi semangat dan mendoakan keselamatan anggota yang terlibat.
