PANGKALAN RIMBA, Sunday 11 December 2016 – On the 30th of November 2016, The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held the opening ceremony of its Dikir Maulud celebration. Present at the ceremony was the Acting Commander of RBAIrF Col (U) Hj Hamsani bin Haji Abdul Hamid.Also present were Senior Officers, Officers and staffs of the RBAirF. The Dikir Maulud was held continuously for 12 nights at mosques and suraus throughout the country including at the RBAirF Surau Al-Barakah to usher in the celebration for the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
The ceremony began with the recital of Al-Quran by 865 Cpt (U) Mohd Sofy bin Mohd Salleh, followed by mass Maghrib prayers, Dikir Marhaban and mass Isyak prayers.
On the 11th of December 2016, the RBAirF concluded its 12 nights of Dikir Maulud at the RBAirF Surau Al-Barakah.
Again present as the guest of honour was the acting commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force Col (U) Hj Hamsani bin Haji Abdul Hamid. Also present were the senior officers, officers and staffs of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
The ceremony started with Surah Al-Anbiya verses 105 – 112 recited by 16176 Lance Corporal (U) Asriwendy bin Hj Majid. Following the Maghrib prayers, a special talk was given to commemorate the event which was delivered by Ustaz Dr Hilman bin Haji Salim entitled ‘Berwawasan yang berkat dengan bercontoh kepada Rasulullah’. This was then followed by the mass Isyak prayers, Dikir Marhaban and ending with a closing doa.
