RIMBA AIRFORCE BASE, Tuesday 24 April 2018 – Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held the 2018 Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Day at Dewan Punai as part of its initiative in promoting occupational health and safety.
OHS Day is an annual event conducted by the RBAirF Inspectorate Unit to highlight and address OHS issues within the RBAirF. The theme for OHS Day 2018 ‘THE IMPORTANCE OF HAZARD & INCIDENT REPORTING’ aims to raise awareness and educate personnel within the airbase on the importance of reporting on all forms of hazards and incidents that occur in the workplace.
The event also involved external agencies from the Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Division of the Energy and Industry Department, Occupational Health Division of the Ministry Of Health, Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, and Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Commander RBAirF. The ceremony commenced with the Opening Doa by Ustaz Awang Said bin Haji Yusop followed by opening remark by the Guest of Honour highlighting the importance of an open reporting culture and reiterated the RBAirF commitment in raising safety awareness to its personnel.
The Chairman of the event, Major (U) Muhammad Zabri bin Abdul Rahman, proceeded with a brief on the new RBAirF Online Hazard Observation Card (HOC) system followed by educational safety talks from the external guest speakers.
Commander RBAirF officially launched the RBAirF Online HOC System with the presentation of the Online HOC posters to RBAirF senior executive officers followed by presenting tokens of appreciation to all external agencies for their support to the event. A special token of appreciation was also given to Lieutenant (U) Harith bin Haji Edin, for his contribution in the design of the official online HOC poster.
The event concluded with the Guest of Honour being given a tour of the safety booths that were set up by the various external agencies. The RBAirF OHS Day 2018 was attended by 230 RBAirF officers and staff.

RIMBA, Selasa 24 April 2018 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) mengadakan Sambutan Hari Kesihatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (KKK) 2018 di Dewan Punai, sebagai sebahagian daripada inisiatif TUDB dalam mempromosikan kesihatan dan keselamatan kerja.
Hari KKK TUDB adalah acara tahunan yang dikendalikan oleh Unit Inspektorat TUDB dalam menangani dan menyampaikan kepada warga TUDB mengenai isu kesihatan dan keselamatan di TUDB. Tema Hari KKK 2018 ‘KEPENTINGAN MELAPOR KEADAAN BAHAYA DAN INSIDEN’, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesedaran warga TUDB akan kepentingan melapor semua keadaan bahaya dan insiden yang berlaku di tempat kerja.
Acara ini juga telah melibatkan agensi-agensi luar dari Jabatan HSSE, Jabatan Tenaga dan Perindustrian, Bahagian Kesihatan Keselamatan Kerja, Kementerian Kesihatan, Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, dan Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Pemerintah TUDB. Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan doa oleh Ustaz Awang said bin Haji Yusop, Guru Ugama TUDB, dan seterusnya kata-kata aluan oleh Tetamu Kehormat yang mana beliau menyentuh mengenai kepentingan budaya melapor dan mengingatkan komitmen TUDB dalam meningkatkan kesedaran keselamatan di tempat kerja.

Cenderahati khas juga diberikan kepada Leftenan (U) Mohd Harith bin Haji Edin, sebagai tanda penghargaan bagi menghasilkan reka bentuk poster
HOC tersebut.
Acara diakhiri dengan Tetamu Kehormat melawat pameran yang telah disediakan oleh agensi-agensi terlibat pada hari tersebut. Hari KKK TUDB 2018 tahun ini dihadiri oleh 230 anggota TUDB.
