The inaugural Airmen to Airmen Talks (A2AT) between the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and the United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) was conducted this week from the 09 to 10 December 2020 via video teleconference at the RBAirF Air Movement Centre (AMC). This maiden meeting was hosted by PACAF HQ located at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, USA.
The A2AT was co-chaired by Colonel (U) Harmadi bin Hj Mamit, Support Group Commander RBAirF and Colonel Daniel J. Munter, the Chief of International Affairs Division, Directorate of Strategy, Plans and Programs, HQ Pacific Air Forces, as Head of Delegations (HoDs). The meeting was also attended by Commander Randall Jones, Chief of the Office of Defence Cooperation (ODC), US Embassy, Commanding Officers of RBAirF as well as the Head of Capability Development Cell, RBAirF.
This meeting focused on working group sessions that was centred on three areas, which were Sustainment; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR); and Engagements. The A2AT started with opening remarks from each HoD, and then followed by briefs from both Air Forces. During the briefings, the two HoDs reiterated and agreed that these bilateral activities should be continuous and discussions on planning and execution should continue beyond this meeting. The A2AT concluded with a symbolic signing of the agreed Terms of References (ToR) by both HoDs, and a group photo session.
The next biannual A2AT meeting will be hosted by RBAirF in 2022.

PACAF yang berpangkalan di

A2AT dipengerusikan bersama oleh Kolonel (U) Harmadi bin Hj Mamit, Pemerintah Kumpulan Bantu, TUDB dan Kolonel Daniel J. Munter,
the Chief of International Affairs Division, Directorate of Strategy, Plans and Programs, HQ Pacific Air Forces, sebagai Ketua Delegasi Tentera Udara masing-masing. Mesyuarat itu turut dihadiri oleh Komander Randall Jones,
Office of Defence Cooperation (ODC), Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat, Pegawai-Pegawai Pemerintah TUDB serta Ketua Sel Perkembangan Keupayaan TUDB.
Mesyuarat ini memfokuskan pada sesi kumpulan kerja yang tertumpu kepada tiga perkara, iaitu
Sustainment; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR); dan Engagements.
A2AT dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan dari kedua-dua ketua delegasi, dan kemudian diikuti dengan taklimat dari kedua-dua Tentera Udara. Semasa taklimat, kedua ketua delegasi bersetuju bahawa aktiviti dua hala ini dan perbincangan mengenai perancangan dan pelaksanaan haruslah diteruskan.
A2AT diakhiri dengan penandatanganan simbolik
Terms of References (ToR) yang dipersetujui oleh kedua-dua ketua delegasi, dan sesi bergambar ramai.
