Rimba Air Force Base, Friday, 25 March 2022 – 11 personnel consisting of 9 airmen from the RBAirF and 2 personnel from the Special Operation Squad (SOS), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), completed the 7th Basic Airborne Static Line Course which was held at the RBAirF Drop Zone. The Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Rahimin bin Haji Ismail, Commanding Officer of No. 3 Wing, RBAirF. Also present during the event were officers from the RBAirF and RBPF.
The ceremony began with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by an airborne demonstration performed by the course participants. Following the demonstration, certificates and awards to the course participants were presented. Corporal Mohd Zaizul Ma’un bin Zainal Abidin received the best student award for his outstanding performance in meeting the best student criteria. Lieutenant (U) Mohd Ady Hazriyatul Fadillah Faez Bin Haris Fadilah received the best practical award.
The four-week course that began on 7th March 2022 aimed to produce competent airborne certified personnel who can execute proper airborne decent, basic static line exit, and able to perform to its operational standards. The course was held in full compliance with the Minister of Health’s guidelines. This also saw the first time the SOS RBPF joined the course.
In facing the challenges of COVID-19, 31 Squadron is continuously adapting to the new norms to ensure that courses and training continued to be delivered safely for the RBAF personnel.
KURSUS ASAS STATIK LINE PAYUNG TERJUN AIRBORNE KE 7
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Jumaat, 07 Mac 2022 – Seramai 11 anggota terdiri daripada 9 anggota TUDB dan 2 anggota daripada Pasukan Gerak Khas (PGK) Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei (PPDB) telah menamatkan Kursus Asas Statik Line Payung Terjun Airborne bertempat di Drop Zone, TUDB. Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat adalah Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Rahimin bin Haji Ismail, Pegawai Pemerintah Cawangan No 3, TUDB. Turut menghadiri acara tersebut adalah pegawai-pegawai daripada TUDB dan PPDB.
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan persembahan static line airborne yang dipersembahkan oleh peserta-peserta kursus. Acara kemudian diakhiri dengan penyampaian sijil dan anugerah-anugerah yang disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Korporal Mohd Zaizul Ma’un bin Zainal Abidin menerima anugerah penuntut terbaik keseluruhan. Manakala, Leftenan (U) Mohd Ady Hazriyatul Fadillah Faez bin Haris Fadilah dianugerahkan dengan terbaik amali.
Kursus selama 4 minggu ini bermula pada 07 Mac 2021. Ianya bertujuan untuk melahirkan penerjun-penerjun yang kompeten bagi melaksanakan tugas terjun payung secara menyeluruh dan kemahiran-kemahiran seperti tatacara keluar daripada pesawat, mengawal payung semasa penerjunan, teknik mendarat dan sebagainya. Kursus ini dijalankan mengikut garis pandu daripada Kementerian Kesihatan. Kursus ini juga buat pertama kalinya disertai oleh PGK PPDB.
Dalam menghadapi wabak COVID-19, 31 Skuadron sentiasa menyesuaikan diri dengan norma baharu untuk memastikan kursus dan latihan terus disampaikan dengan selamat untuk anggota ABDB.
