BUKIT AGOK, Thursday, 04 August 2023 – The badge and certificate ceremony for the Air Defence Troop Commander Course Session 2023/2024 at the Bukit Agok Firing Range. A total of 05 Officers from No. 2 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the course which was conducted over a period of 09 weeks by 77 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, RBAirF. Present at the event as the Guest of Honour was Colonel (U) Haji Hishamuddin bin Haji Abidin, Acting Deputy Commander of RBAirF as well as other Officers and invited guests.
The event commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a speech by the Guest of Honour. This was followed by the presentation of badges and certificates to the course participants and then the awards presentation to the Best Overall, Theory and Practical award recipients. The Best Overall and Best Theory awards were awarded to Lieutenant (U) Muhammad Zahirul Taqiuddin bin Haji Roslan whereas the Best Practical award was awarded to Lieutenant (U) Muhammad Faris Izzuddin bin Dr Haji Supry.
The Air Defence Troop Commander Course aims to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills with regards to the fundamentals of air defence including background theory, mechanisms and planning as well as the roles and responsibilities of a Troop Commander both during peacetime and operations. Additionally, the course participants were also able to benefit from lessons conducted by other Subject Matter Experts within the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces including from the Intelligence Training Wing, Directorate of Intelligence and the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Office.
MAJLIS PENYAMPAIAN LENCANA DAN SIJIL KURSUS KETUA TERUP PERTAHANAN UDARA SESI 2023/2024
BUKIT AGOK, Khamis, 04 Ogos 2023 – Majlis Penyampaian Lencana dan Sijil bagi Kursus Ketua Terup Pertahanan Udara Sesi 2023/2024 telah dikendalikan di Padang Tembak Bukit Agok. Seramai 05 pegawai dari Cawangan No. 2, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri kursus tersebut yang telah berlangsung selama 09 minggu dan dikendalikan oleh Skuadron 77, Cawangan No. 7, TUDB. Hadir pada majlis tersebut selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis ialah Kolonel (U) Haji Hishamuddin bin Haji Abidin, Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah TUDB, Pegawai-pegawai dan para jemputan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diteruskan dengan ucapan daripada Tetamu Kehormat Majlis. Majlis seterusnya diteruskan dengan penyampaian lencana dan sijil bagi peserta-peserta kursus dan juga penyampaian hadiah bagi Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan, Teori dan Amali. Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dan Penuntut Terbaik Teori telah dimenangi oleh Leftenan (U) Muhammad Zahirul Taqiuddin bin Haji Roslan, manakala Penuntut Terbaik Praktikal telah dimenangi oleh Leftenan (U) Muhammad Faris Izzuddin bin Dr Haji Supry.
Kursus Ketua Terup Pertahanan Udara ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan kemahiran mengenai asas operasi pertahanan udara termasuk teori, mekanisme dan juga perancangan. Ini juga termasuk tugas-tugas sebagai Ketua Terup semasa aman dan juga semasa operasi. Disamping itu juga, peserta-peserta kursus juga dapat memanfaatkan pelajaran-pelajaran dari
Subject Matter Experts dari unit-unit lain Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei termasuk Cawangan Latihan Perisikan, Jabatanarah Perisikan dan juga dari
Judge Advocate General (JAG) Office.
