RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Thursday, 31 August 2023 – 13 personnel consisting of 12 airmen and 01 airwoman from 31 Squadron have completed the Basic Military Freefall Course which was held at the Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). The Guest of Honour was Colonel (U) Hishammudin bin Abidin, Commander of Operations Group, RBAirF. Also present during the event were officers from the RBAirF.
The ceremony commenced with a military freefall demonstration performed by the course participants. Following the demonstration, certificates and awards to the course participants were presented. Lance Corporal (U) Mohd Helmi bin Hoseni received the best student award. Whereas, Private (U) Noorulhaini Matsah bin Hj Mohammad received the best freefall award.
The five-week course that began at the end of 3 July 2023 aimed to produce competent military freefall certified personnel who can execute proper decent freefalling, basic frog exit, flight control and be able to perform to its operational standards. The course was held in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure of 31 Squadron, Parachute Airborne Tactical Delivery Unit (PATDU).
This course has been increasingly significant to operational needs, especially to elite force units where this course has a unique skill that has embarked on the importance of air troop insertion method for support troops tactics. The course participants have experienced a 10,000ft above sea level (ASL) jump. RBAirF would like to congratulate all course participants for completing the Basic Military Course.



KURSUS ASAS TERJUN BEBAS SESI 2/2023
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Khamis, 31 Ogos 2023 – Seramai 13 anggota terdiri daripada unit 31 Skuadron telah menamatkan Kursus Asas Payung Terjun Bebas bertempat di Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba (PTU Rimba). Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat adalah Kolonel (U) Hishammudin bin Abidin. Turut menghadiri acara tersebut adalah pegawai-pegawai daripada TUDB.
Acara diteruskan dengan persembahan terjun gaya bebas yang dipersembahkan oleh peserta-peserta kursus. Acara kemudian diakhiri dengan penyampaian sijil dan anugerah-anugerah yang disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Lans Koperal (U) Mohd Helmi bin menerima anugerah penuntut terbaik keseluruhan. Manakala, Soldadu (U) Matsah bin dianugerahkan sebagai penuntut terbaik terjun bebas.
Kursus selama 5 minggu ini bermula pada akhir 31 Julai 2023. Ianya bertujuan untuk melahirkan penerjun-penerjun yang kompeten bagi melaksanakan tugas terjun payung secara menyeluruh dan kemahiran-kemahiran seperti tatacara keluar daripada pesawat, mengawal payung semasa penerjunan, teknik mendarat dan sebagainya. Kursus ini dijalankan mengikut garis pandu daripada prosedur tetap unit 31 Skuadron.
Kursus ini sangat berkait rapat dengan keperluan operasi sebagai seorang tentera kerana memerlukan kemahiran penyusupan udara untuk memberi bantuan kepada mana-mana unit. Penuntut kursus asas terjun bebas ini telahpun berjaya membuat penerjunan setinggi 10,000 kaki dari paras bumi. TUDB mengucapkan tahniah dan syabas kepada kesemua ahli kursus bagi menamatkan Kursus Asas Terjun Bebas.
