STUDENT PILOTS’ FIRST SOLO FLIGHT IN BASIC AND ADVANCE ROTARY WING PILOT TRAINING COURSE
CAMDEN, AUSTRALIA, Saturday, 10 September 2022 - 04 Student Pilots from 73 Squadron, No. 7 Wing, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) undergoing the Basic and Advance Rotary Wing Pilot Training (B’ARWPT) Course have successfully completed their first Solo Flight on the Bell 206B JetRanger-III on 07 September 2022 at Air Combat Australia (ACA). The Student Pilots received a congratulatory hose down by the instructors after their Solo Flight, in the evening.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR SERGEANT LEADERSHIP COURSE SERIAL 01/2022
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Friday, 09 September 2022 – The Closing Ceremony for Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Sergeant Leadership Course Serial 01/2022 was held this morning at a restaurant in Kiulap, Bandar Seri Begawan.
ADVANCED RIGGER COURSE CLOSING CEREMONY
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 09 September 2022 – 09 rigger personnel from 31 Squadron have successfully completed the Advanced Rigger Course organized by 31 Squadron from 18 July 2022 to 09 September 2022. Present as the Guest of Honour during the course closing ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Rahimin bin Haji Ismail.
RBAirF TREE PLANTING EVENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBAF 61st ANNIVERSARY
RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 09 September 2022 - In commemorating the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 61st Anniversary, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) held a Tree Planting Ceremony at Luagan Simpur Recreational Park, Rimba Air Force Base (Rimba AFB). This event is part of the RBAF and MINDEF initiative in assisting the government to achieve its National target for executing the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy known as “Green Protocol”. This event is a collaboration with Directorate of Development and Works Service (DDWS), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) with the support of the Forestry Department as well as the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation.
RBAirF HELD CEMETERY CLEANING CAMPAIGN PROJECT IN CONJUNCTION WITH RBAF’S 61ST ANNIVERSARY
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 08 September 2022 – In conjunction with Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 61st Anniversary, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) conducted the Cemetery Cleaning Campaign Project at different locations as part of its community outreach programme today. The cleaning campaign project was de-centralized to four different locations namely, Kianggeh Muslim Cemetery, Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Cemetery, Pulaie Muslim Cemetery and Kampong Lumapas Cemetery.
BASIC AND INTERMEDIATE FIXED WING PILOT TRAINING COURSE-58 STUDENT PILOTS FIRST SOLO FLIGHT
CAMDEN, AUSTRALIA, Wednesday, 07 September 2022 – A total of 08 Student pilots undergoing Basic and Intermediate Fixed Wing Pilot Training Course-58 have completed their first solo flight at Air Combat Australia between 31 August to 07 September 2022. A student pilot’s First Solo flight is a big milestone in their journey of becoming a pilot. As tradition, to celebrate their success, a hose down was done by the flight instructors.
