Rimba Air Force Base, Thursday, 17 November 2022 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) Commander today received a Courtesy Call from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Deputy Chief, Air Vice-Marshal Stephen Meredith.
During the call, both sides discussed on the way forward to further improve the long-standing relations between the RBAirF and RAAF, especially on establishing an Air Working Group as a platform to engage on bilateral matters at the working level. Both sides also discussed on the importance of exchanging information and expertise on operational, training and capability matters. The RAAF Deputy Chief also expressed gratitude to the RBAirF Commander for the support provided to the RAAF on both bilateral and multilateral engagements. The RBAirF Commander was then invited to board the RAAF P-8 aircraft for a short local area flight.
Air Vice-Marshal Stephen Meredith is currently in the country as part of the Key Leadership Engagement in conjunction with the Indo Pacific Endeavor 2022.
PEMERINTAH TUDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARI TIMBALAN PEMERINTAH TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA AUSTRALIA
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Khamis, 17 November 2022 – Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) pada hari ini menerima Kunjungan Hormat daripada Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Australia (TUDA), Air Vice-Marshal Stephen Meredith.
Semasa sesi tersebut, kedua belah pihak berbincang mengenai perancangan untuk mengukuhkan lagi hubungan di antara kedua tentera udara yang telah terjalin sekian lama, terutama sekali dengan penubuhan Kelompok Kerja Udara sebagai landasan bagi interaksi dua hala di peringkat kerja. Kedua pihak juga berbincang mengenai kepentingan pertukaran maklumat dan kepakaran mengenai hal-hal operasi, latihan dan keupayaan. Timbalan Pemerintah TUDA juga menyatakan penghargaan beliau di atas sokongan dari TUDB dalam kesemua interaksi samaada dua hala mahupun pelbagai hala. Pemerintah TUDB kemudian dijemput untuk menaiki Pesawat P-8 TUDA untuk penerbangan kawasan local.
