RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Friday, 16 September 2022 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) received a Courtesy Call from Colonel Sanjeev Vijaykumar Sarma the Defence Adviser of the Republic of India accredited to Negara Brunei Darussalam.During the call, Colonel Sanjeev expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and warm welcome he has received since he arrived in Negara Brunei Darussalam. Both sides spoke of the opportunities that could be taken advantage of with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the region, especially in terms of increased interactions and engagements to boost the relations between the RBAirF and the Indian Air Force. Both also agreed to explore avenues for bilateral interaction such as exchange of visits and training, where one of the vital objectives is for the sharing of knowledge and best practices on operational, human resource and doctrinal matters.
Both sides then discussed on the capability development of the two air forces, where both the Indian Air Force and the RBAirF are in the midst of undergoing several important capability development programs and acquisition projects. This is where the two sides should take advantage on the commonalities between capability platforms to engage on a more practical level
Colonel Sanjeev is currently in Negara Brunei Darussalam for his official courtesy calls to the senior officials in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
PEMERINTAH TUDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN DARI PENASIHAT PERTAHANAN INDIA
Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba, Jumaat, 16 September 2022 –Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), Yang Mulia Brigadier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Hj Ibrahim pada hari ini menerima Kunjungan Pengenalan dari Kolonel Sanjeev Vijaykumar Sarma, Penasihat Pertahanan Republik India yang diakreditasi ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Dalam sesi tersebut, Kolonel Sanjeev menyatakan penghargaan beliau di atas sambutan baik yang diterimanya sejak tiba ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Kedua belah pihak kemudian menyatakan kepentingan mengambil peluang yang tersedia sempena pengurangan sekatan COVID-19 di rantau ini, terutama sekali untuk mengembangkan interaksi bagi mengukuhkan hubungan di kedua tentera udara. Kedua belah pihak juga bersetuju untuk menerokai peluang-peluang dua hala seperti pertukaran lawatan dan latihan, di mana salah satu objektif nya adalah untuk berkongsi maklumat dan amalan terbaik dari segi operasi, sumber manusia dan doktrin.
Kedua belah pihak kemudian berkongsi mengenai keupayaan tentera udara masing-masing, di mana pada masa ini kedua organisasi berada dalam program perkembangan keupayaan serta projek perolehan. Kedua belah pihak harus mengambil kesempatan atas persamaan mana-mana platform keupayaan untuk bekerjasama di tahap yang lebih praktikal.
Kolonel Sanjeev sedang berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam untuk membuat Kunjungan Hormat beliau kepada Pegawai-pegawai terkanan di Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei.
