CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA, Thursday, 28 July 2022 – The ASEAN Military Fellowships in Maritime Security successfully concluded today with all the participating fellows delivering the final presentation followed by a certificate and commemorative coin presentation. Representing the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) was Major (U) Wan Muhammad Azem bin Hj Mohammad Aminuddin, SO2 A2, RBAirF Headquarters.
Present at the final presentation and closing ceremony was Mr David Lewis, Assistant Secretary of Southeast Asia, Department of Defence, Air Commodore Gretchen Fryar, Director General Strategy and Planning, the Directors of the Air and Space Power and the Sea Power Centres, Defence Attaches, Australian Defence Force officers and academics. 7 military officers from ASEAN countries were selected for the program, with 3 officers attending the Air and Space Power Centre and 4 at the Sea Power Centre.
The ASEAN Military Fellowships are conducted in 2 to 3 tranches annually. The fellowship provided the participants the opportunity to undertake a 3 months master’s level research in Canberra. The program also consisted of site visits to air and naval bases.

ASEAN Military Fellowships dalam sekuriti maritim telah dikendalikan dengan pembentangan dari setiap peserta diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil serta
commemorative coin. Mewakili Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) adalah Mejar (U) Wan Muhammad Azem bin Hj Mohammad Aminuddin, Timbalan Pegawai Turus Perisikan dan Keselamatan, Markas TUDB.
Hadir ke acara tersebut adalah Mr David Lewis,

Sea Power, Atase-atase pertahanan, Pegawai-pegawai tentera
Australian Defence Force serta para akademik. 7 orang pegawai tentera dari rantau Asia Tenggara menyertai program tersebut, di mana 3 daripadanya menjalankan kaji selidik di Pusat
Air and Space Power, manakala 4 lagi ditempatkan di Pusat
Sea Power.
Program
ASEAN Military Fellowships ini dikendalikan dalam 2 ke 3 sesi setiap tahun. Ianya memberikan peluang kepada para peserta untuk menjalankan kaji selidik tahap Sarjana selama 3 bulan di Canberra. Program ini juga melibatkan beberapa lawatan ke pangkalan udara serta pangkalan tentera laut.
