BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 27 July 2022 – The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) organized a three series of CSPS’ Masterclass Course in Strategic Planning which comprised of Strategic Foresight, Strategic Planning and Strategic Planning Facilitator Masterclass. This year, the course marked a significant achievement after being recognised internationally by UNESCO Chair for Future Studies, and Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Dr Diana Cheong, the CSPS Executive Director and Chief Researcher presented certificates to participants of the 5th strategic foresight course.
Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Chief of Staff of Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) attended the course together with thirty-four others participants comprising senior officers from other government ministries. Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel and six other participants received certificates of competency with outstanding performance in strategic foresight methodology. Meanwhile, the group from Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) which include Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel topped the Group Project Paper in the course. The paper had received praised from the UNESCO Chair of Futures Studies, Professor Sohail Inayatullah, and he recommended that the paper to be published in the Journal of Futures Studies Perspective section.
Upon completing the course, the participants were accorded with international recognition as it incorporates competency assessment evaluated by UNESCO Chair in Future Studies, and Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), as well as receiving a Haines certificate on completing the Strategic Planning Facilitator Masterclass.
The course looks into the foundations of strategic foresight to support policymaking and strategic planning in creating better futures. CSPS holds an annual executive development training course that provides a unique and innovative approach to the emerging fields of strategic foresight and scenario planning as major dimensions of the entire strategic planning development process. The course incorporates systems thinking and narrative approaches to understand and manage change for those who want to embrace whole-of-nation and anticipatory governance.
In addition, the Strategic Planning Facilitator Masterclass recently came to a close on 27 July 2022, with all participants successfully completed the course, and will receive a certificate from The Haines Centre for Strategic Management, Singapore, in collaboration with the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies, Brunei.
PEGAWAI TUDB MENGHADIRI KURSUS MASTERCLASS PUSAT KAJIAN STRATEGIK DAN DASAR
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, RABU, 27 JULAI 2022 – Pusat Kajian Strategik dan Dasar (CSPS) telah mengendalikan tiga siri kursus Masterclass CSPS bagi perancangan strategik yang merangkumi strategic foresight, perancangan strategik serta fasilitator perancangan strategik Masterclass. Pada tahun ini, kursus ini telah membuat satu pencapaian setelah diiktiraf di peringkat antarabangsa oleh perbadanan Pengerusi Future Studies UNESCO dan perbadanan kelestarian dan kemanusiaan, Pusat Sejahtera, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (IIUM). Dr Diana Cheong, Pengarah Eksekutif dan Ketua Penyeledik telah menyampaikan sijil kepada ahli-ahli kursus strategic foresight Ke-5.
Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Ketua Staff Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri kursus tersebut bersama tiga-puluh empat perserta kursus lain terdiri daripada Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dari sektor kerajaan dan kementerian. Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel dan enam perserta kursus yang lain telah menerima sijil kecekapan atas pencapaian prestasi yang cemerlang dalam metodologi strategic foresight. Manakala, kumpulan daripada Kementerian Pertahanan (KEMENTAH) yang mana Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel adalah salah seorang dari ahli kumpulan tersebut, telah mengungguli Kertas Kerja Projek Kumpulan dalam kursus tersebut. Kertas Kerja Projek tersebut menerima pujian daripada Profesor Sohail Inayatullah, Pengerusi Future Studies UNESCO, dan telah mengesyorkan Kertas Kerja tersebut diterbitkan dalam seksyen Journal of Future Studies Perspectives.
Selepas menamatkan kursus, peserta kursus telah diberikan pengiktirafan antarabangsa yang mana turut dinilai oleh Pengerusi Future Studies UNESCO dan perbadanan kelestarian dan kemanusiaan, Pusat Sejahtera, IIUM, serta menerima Sijil Haines atas pencapaian penamatan kursus fasilitator Perancangan Strategik Masterclass.
Kursus ini memberikan tumpuan kepada asas strategic foresight untuk menyokong penggubalan dasar dan perancangan strategik dalam mewujudkan masa depan yang lebih baik. CSPS menganjurkan kursus latihan pembangunan eksekutif tahunan yang menyediakan pendekatan yang unik dan inovatif bagi bidang yang baharu dalam strategic foresight dan perancangan scenario sebagai dimensi utama keseluruhan proses pembangunan perancangan strategik. Kursus ini juga menggabungkan pemikiran sistem dan pendekatan naratif untuk lebih memahami dan mengurus perubahan bagi individu mentadbir menjurus kearah pentadbiran whole-of-nation dan anticipatory.
Kursus Masterclass bagi Fasilitator Perancangan Strategik tamat pada 27Julai 2022, yang mana kesemua peserta kursus menerima sijil daripada The Haines Centre for Strategic Management, Singapura dengan Kerjasama CSPS, Brunei.
