REPUBLIC OF PHILIPPINES, Monday, 1 May 2023 – The 2nd Air Working Group (AWG) Meeting between the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and Philippine Air Force (PAF) was held from 1 to 5 May 2023 at the Republic of Philippines. The Co-Chairman from the RBAirF was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, the RBAirF Chief of Staff and representing the PAF was Colonel Pedro S Agapito, Deputy Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Plans, A-5, HPAF.
As part of the AWG programme, the RBAirF Chief of Staff had a courtesy call with Major General Fabian M Pedragosa, Chief of Air Staff, PAF. The AWG Meeting then commenced with opening remarks from both Co-Chairmans. The objectives of the meeting were to discuss matters of activities, interactions, and exchanges, which are aimed to further enhance RBAirF and PAF cooperation and relationship.
The AWG this year reached a significant milestone with the signing of the Terms of Reference (TOR) between the RBAirF and PAF, which will serve as a guideline for future interactions between the two air forces. Another achievement of the meeting was the formulation of an updated 3-year work plan which covers future events, including key leadership engagements and working level exchanges. The meeting was concluded officially with closing statements by both Co-Chairmans. The AWG Meeting will be held biennially and hosted by both countries on an alternate basis.
The RBAirF delegation had an opportunity for an official visit to Clark Air Base, home of the Air Defence Command, the FA-50, and BlackHawk S70i squadrons as part of the programme.
MESYUARAT KEDUA KELOMPOK KERJA UDARA DI ANTARA TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI DAN TENTERA UDARA FILIPINA
REPUBLIK FILIPINA, Isnin, 1 Mei 2023 – Mesyuarat Kelompok Kerja Udara (KKU) diantara Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) dan Tentera Udara Filipina (TUF) kali Ke-2 telah diadakan pada 1 hingga 5 Mei 2023 di Republik Filipina. Pengerusi Bersama dari TUDB ialah Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Mohammad Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Ketua Staf TUDB dan bagi mewakili pihak TUF ialah Kolonel Pedro S Agapito, Timbalan Penolong Ketua Staf Udara bagi Rancangan, A-5, HPAF.
Sebagai sebahagian dari program mesyuarat tersebut, Ketua Staf TUDB mengadakan kunjungan hormat bersama Mejar Jeneral Fabian M Pedragosa, Ketua Staf Udara, TUF. Mesyuarat KKU dimulakan dengan ucapan pembukaan daripada kedua-dua Pengerusi Bersama. Objektif mesyuarat adalah untuk membincangkan aktiviti, interaksi dan pertukaran bertujuan untuk meningkatkan lagi kerjasama dan hubungan TUDB dan TUF.
Pada tahun ini, KKU telah membuat pencapaian penting dengan menandatangani Terma Rujukan di antara TUDB dan TUF, yang mana Terma Rujukan tersebut akan menjadi garis panduan bagi interaksi di masa akan datang bagi kedua tentera udara. Selain itu, mesyuarat tersebut turut meraih pencapaian dengan pembentukan pelan kerja selama 3 tahun yang merangkumi perancangan masa depan seperti penglibatan kepimpinan utama dan pertukaran peringkat kerja. Mesyuarat diakhiri dengan ucapan oleh kedua-dua Pengerusi Bersama. Mesyuarat KKU ini akan diadakan setiap dua tahun dan dihoskan oleh kedua-dua negara secara bergilir.
Program tersebut turut memberi kesempatan kepada rombongan TUDB membuat lawatan rasmi ke Pangkalan Udara Clark, termasuk Air Defence Command dan lawatan ke Skuadron FA-50 serta BlackHawk S70i.
