AUSTRALIA, Monday 27 February 2023 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif Bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), attended the Australian International Airshow Aerospace and Defense Exposition (AIA 2023) which was held from 24 February to 01 March 2023. The theme for this year was “The Future is Now; From the Sky to the Stars.”

Apart from the visit, the Commander of RBAirF made separate courtesy calls with the Chief of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), Air Marshal Robert Chipman, Chief of Air Staff Royal Air Force (RAF), Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, Commander Pacific Air Forces, General Kenneth S. Wilsbach, Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force at Pentagon, Ms. Kelli L. Seybolt and Commanding General of Philippine Air Force (PAF), Lieutenant General Stephen P Parreno. The courtesy calls ensured the acknowledgment of the longstanding bilateral relationships through strengthening partnerships related to future exchange programmes, training, and flying operations between the RBAirF and respective Air Forces.

The Commander RBAirF also had the opportunity to attend the Chief of Air Force Symposium 2023, themed “Ready to Launch: Boosting Capability Delivery.” This theme revolved around recognising significant advances in acquiring and sustaining military capabilities. At the same time, the rate of change in the strategic environment and within the industry demands all Air Forces to rapidly assess and deliver emerging capabilities. Throughout the Symposium, the delegation from RBAirF had the opportunity to engage with experts specialising in exploring ability and resilience in air and space power.

The AIA 2023 has provided RBAirF with beneficial insights and opportunities to take a closer look at the multitude of trade exhibitions and demonstrations which showcased various leading fifth-generation equipment, products, innovative technologies, and service solutions.
PEMERINTAH TUDB MENGHADIRI THE 2023 AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW AND AEROSPACE & DEFENSE EXPOSITION
AUSTRALIA, Isnin, 27 Februari 2023– Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif Bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah menghadiri the 2023 Australian International Airshow Aerospace and Defense Exposition (AIA 2023) yang telah diadakan bermula dari 24 Februari sehingga 1 Mac 2023 di Melbourne, Australia. Tema bagi AIA 2023 ialah “The Future is Now; From the Sky to the Stars”.
Selain dari lawatan tersebut, Pemerintah TUDB turut membuat kunjungan hormat ke atas Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Australia, Air Marshal Robert Chipman, Pemerintah Royal Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, Komander Tentera Udara Pasifik, General Kenneth S. Wilsbach, Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force at Pentagon, Ms. Kelli L. Seybolt dan Pemerintah Tentera Udara Filipina, Lieutenant General Stephen P Parreno. Kunjungan hormat Bersama Pemerintah-pemerintah Tentera Udara memastikan pengiktirafan hubungan dua hala yang telah terjalin melalui perkongsian yang berkaitan dengan program pertukaran masa depan, latihan dan operasi penerbangan antara TUDB dan Tentera-tentera Udara yang lain.

Pemerintah TUDB telah berpeluang untuk menghadiri Chief of Air Force Symposium 2023 yang bertemakan “Ready to Launch: Boosting Capability Delivery”. Tema pada tahun ini mengakui bahawa meskipun kemajuan ketara telah berlaku dalam proses perolehan dan pengekalan keupayaan ketenteraan, kadar perubahan dalam persekitaran strategik dan dalam industri memastikan semua Tentera Udara untuk membuat penilaian dengan pantas dan mengusulkan keupayaan yang baru muncul untuk perolehan yang lebih efektif. Di sepanjang Simposium berlangsung, TUDB turut berpeluang untuk berkongsi maklumat dan berinteraksi dengan pelbagai pakar berhubung kait dengan penerokaan keupayaan dan daya tahan dalam ruang udara dan angkasa.
Pemerintah TUDB melihat dengan lebih dekat Sasaran Pesawat Terbang Udara yang terkini dari Syarikat Qinetiq.
AIA 2023 telah memberikan TUDB pelbagai peluang untuk melawat pameran perdagangan dan menyaksikan demonstrasi yang menunjukkan keupayaan kelengkapan, produk, inovatif teknologi dan service solutions generasi kelima.
Pemerintah TUDB bersama Penasihat Pertahanan Australia ke Negara Brunei Darussalam menguji cuba Virtual Reality Flying Simulator Training yang merupakan perkembangan innovasi dan teknologi terkini dalam latihan penerbangan.
